Part of my approach to supporting patients recover from anxiety involves optimising their physical health, sexual health, and managing disordered sleep. A large part of my practice involves helping high performance professionals, executives, athletes, and doctors; who as a cohort delay seeking help and often self-manage. I have an interest in trauma and its neurobiological and behavioural effects. I also manage mental illness in survivors of childhood trauma and those struggling with relationship difficulties.
In my practice I use a combination of therapies to assist my patients, including: endo-cannabinoid system balancing; anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medications; nutritional medicine and functional medicine; IV nutritional therapy; and counselling. I find mental health one of the most rewarding aspects of general practice. It is truly life changing for patients and their families, when they are able to recover from their symptoms.
