A: Please email us at info@thesunflowerclinic.com.au with title: URGENT SCRIPT or call us on 9226 2140 and leave us a voice message. Dr Cheema will liaise with the pharmacist if appropriate to dispense your prescription prior to the recommended interval date. The cost for this is $60 (no rebate applies).

If this occurs frequently, you may be required to book a telehealth appointment to discuss your medication requirements in detail.

A: Please tell the pharmacy to contact us and we will sort it out (this is the fastest way). Of course you are always welcome to email or call us (leave a message) if you prefer that option. The pharmacist may be able to liaise with Dr Cheema outside clinic hours (mon-weds) so this option may be quicker.

A: Dr Cheema will always take your previous medications and medical history into account and prescribe what she thinks is best for you.

A: Dr Cheema does not require a TGA approval prior to prescribing your medication since she is an authorised medicinal cannabis prescriber for all categories. This means she is able to prescribe any medicinal cannabis product that has been registered for use in Australia. In some cases a TGA application is recommended. A TGA submission will be made for all paediatric patients and it is highly recommended to bring a letter from your regular GP (either a health summary or a referral).
